scc_cnn_featureSouthwest Conservation Corps Makes Headline on CNN. The Southwest Conservation Corps (SCC) was highlighted on CNN as an example  of an organization that is using stimulus funds to help young people clean up national forests. The SCC will get about 4.2 million dollars in stimulus funds to create over 600 seasonal jobs. Through the jobs created, Corpsmembers will clear trails and fix up camp sites like those in Lincoln National Forest where the segment was shot. The 2 ½ minute video was shown on January 28th.
