At the 2010 Annual Corps Forum the Corps community will celebrate its 25th Anniversary and an amazing year:
• Service and Conservation Corps are at the forefront of the "green jobs" movement.
• Corps have won millions of Recovery Act dollars, putting young people back to work improving National Parks and Forests and weatherizing low-income homes.
• National service has newly expanded to feature a Clean Energy Service Corps.
• The Department of the Interior has proposed a Youth Conservation Corps for the 21st Century, which would put 100,000 young people in service to public lands.
• Congress and federal agencies see Corps as an important part of climate change legislation, transportation reauthorization, and Workforce Investment Act reauthorization.
We have never had a reception like the one we are experiencing this year. Join us as the men and women who make this happen nationwide come together in Washington, DC.
